Human Resources (HR) Coordinator (Out of Scope)
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Coordinator is responsible to fulfill the duties associated with managing the HR function for Saddle Hills County. The Coordinator will remain current in all HR matters, best practices, legislative changes and industry standards. The Coordinator will develop, implement and review HR policies, job descriptions, procedures and guidelines and conduct compensation reviews. Liaise with Department heads and employees regarding various duties of the position. Maintain HR records and liaise with payroll regarding benefits, budgeting and will monitor timesheets for unfavorable trends. Conduct interviews and provide recommendations for hire. The Coordinator ensures that responses to employee human resource inquiries are handled appropriately and promptly and all work related information is kept confidential and secure in accordance with Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Corporate Services.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in human resources services.
- A minimum of five years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with proven HR skills.
- Eligible for CHRP designation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and time management capabilities in order to plan and meet project timelines and legislated deadlines.
- Must have the capacity to use all Microsoft programs and other related software.
- Must be able to deal with confidential and sensitive information and issues.
 
The applicant must have the ability to provide a driver’s abstract acceptable to Saddle Hills County, at a minimum level of Class 5 and the ability to provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.
