Grande Prairie is a dynamic urban centre located on the southern edge of the Peace River Region. Grande Prairie’s strategic location has contributed to its rapid growth over the years, and The City has developed into one of the fastest growing and youngest communities in Canada. As of 2015, the city has a population of over 68,000, serving a broader trading area of over 280,000.
 
As one of Grande Prairie’s pride and joy, the world-class 450,000 sq.ft. Eastlink Centre was built in 2011 and features aquatics, indoor tracks, fitness classes and programs, fieldhouse and childcare programs. It connects the Coca-Cola Centre, two High Schools and the Gymniks Gymnastic Club. It is a hub of social activity.
 
Reporting to the Director, Community Living, the General Manager, Eastlink Centre is responsible for bringing “best-in-class” operating practices, programming and management while leading 200 enthusiastic staff focused on proving an outstanding guest experience.
 
As the successful candidate, you have a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience at multiplex sporting, recreation or event facilities. A collaborative leader, you will foster relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve the centres goals namely: increase membership and usage; attract sports activities and events; provide exceptional programming and to enhance an activity culture within the community.
