Position Overview: This is the perfect job for someone who strives to make meaningful and direct impacts in the community through the use of their natural organization, leadership and relationship building skills. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with many talented people within our organization and in the community to develop and deliver creative events that serve to enhance citizens’ quality of life and celebrate a healthy, sustainable, and inclusive community. This position will provide you with autonomy, as you will be required to take the lead on a diversity of projects with minimal supervision. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively on a variety of creative event portfolios and develop your event management skills in many areas such as; event planning, coordination, evaluation, contract management, risk assessment and environmental sustainability. In addition you will be able to develop your leadership skills, as the volunteer manager for Town events, you will recruit, train, place and find creative ways to appreciate the passionate and committed community volunteers who help make our extensive programs a resounding success!

Attributes: This is the prefect job for someone who loves details, planning and organization and thrives on working with diverse (and sometimes demanding) stakeholders in a fast-paced environment! You are an outgoing leader with a diversity of proven project and time management skills, combined with the ability to cultivate meaningful and collaborative relationships. To be the best fit for this position, you have a genuine interest and some previous experience with program development, event planning and volunteer management. 3+ years of related work experience, Further knowledge of community events, cultural activities, initiatives, and resources in the Bow Valley will help you to be successful in this role! Post-Secondary education or practice based training in a related field such as Event Management, Arts Administration, a class 5 driver’s license and a genuine interest in our unique mountain culture, activities and environment will help you to be successful in this role!
