Reporting to the Manager of Information Services, the Network Analyst assists and supports all Information Technology related activities pertaining to the Town of High River and the Municipal District of Foothills No. 31. This is a shared position between two municipalities, as such it is important that the Network Analyst maintains a professional, friendly demeanor and conducts themselves according to policies and procedures as outlined by each administrative body.
 
This position is responsible for ensuring network and data availability for all departments in both municipalities for all aspects of the joint municipal networks including but not limited to: WAN, LAN, IP Camera, VPN traffic. Where possible, the Network Analyst will assist both municipalities’ SCADA contractors. Preparation of procedural documentation for network application installation and procedures to meet both internal and external user’s needs will be required as determined by the respective municipality. In addition, supporting and maintaining network security as well as anti-virus/malware solutions is of utmost importance for this position.
 
To be successful in this position, you have a diploma in Network Maintenance/Computer Science or five years experience in a diversified corporate network environment. In addition you have successfully completed the Cisco Certified Network Association designation as well as Ethernet Network Cabling and Fiber Optic Technician certificates. As market conditions, competitive information, and technology information that affect the organization rapidly evloves, this position will be required to participate in continuing educational and professional development programs throughout your employment.
